The DCT470 torque dampers are one of the biggest issues with the transmissions. It is responsible for the smooth transition of flywheel torque to the clutch basket. This puts a lot of stress on the springs inside and to make matters worse these springs are ground flat with too little of the coil left on the spring which is thin and weak. Once the end breaks off it will fast track spring failure and pieces of damper spring will end up in the transmission which can take out your oil pump gear or end up between gears damaging them.

Other competitor dampers use aftermarket springs that do not measure the same as OEM causing engagement issues and speed sensor codes. Also with their dampers we have found to be welded so hot the inner plastic guides are melted and the damper is also warped. We use revised OEM spec springs, precision lathe cut and hand tig welded/repeatedly cooled to ensure no damage to the plastic guides.

We are only offering these with a supplied core, please specify the year of the vehicle. These are built to order, average turnaround 3-5 business days.
